For our small but promising industrial inspections branch in the United States, we are looking for an energetic and multiskilled operations manager, to be situated in our St. Rose, Louisiana office.  With current staff situated in Houston (TX) and Houma (LA) and operations expanding into Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico and more, the ideal candidate is required to have experience with remote management of field staff, combined with strong administrative and control stills.

In the role of Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of industrial inspections, building and coaching the team of inspectors, and identifying and pursuing local business opportunities. You will be actively working together with the other group companies in the U.S.A. and nearby countries, their managers as well as the President of CU U.S.A. and the business development team. Your main task is to grow the business and build an organization and team that supports this growth sustainably.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Daily coordination of inspection planning and staff
• Coaching of staff and long term development of team
• Providing quotes/invoicing/logistics support for inspection staff
• Maintaining quality of inspections and reports
• Communication and maintaining/building relationships with clients
• Building (inter-)national client base and network in relevant industry groups
• Remote coordination of Trinidad staff and operations
• Daily control of expenditure and general (job) profitability

Qualifications and experience

• A degree in Chemistry or similar area
• Bachelor/Master degree or equal in experience
• 5 years or relevant work experience in similar role and industrial service industry
• Proficiency of the Spanish language is considered a plus
• Existing network in relevant industries is preferred
• Experience with management of SME is preferred
• Experience with sales and business development is preferred
