To expand our global HSEQ and Technical Support team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and pragmatic HSEQ engineer. Main station will be at Head Office in Den Helder, with option to divide time between Den Helder and IJmuiden offices and international travel.

Duties and responsibilities will include to (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain companies integrated HSEQ management system and assist in its continuous development;
  • Maintain companies global reporting system;
  • Maintain contact with companies local Safety Representatives;
  • Assist with internal audits and incident investigations;
  • Assist with maintaining compliance to legislation, standards and guidelines;
  • Assist with companies HSEQ awareness program and promoting safety awareness of employees on all levels;
  • Proactively advise on any issues related to HSEQ.

As part of the HSEQ-TS team, you will be reporting to the Manager HSEQ & Technical Support. It is expected you will be able to perform your duties independently and work as member of the team, supporting technical staff with report review and technical queries as needed. Due to the nature of your position, you will communicate with employees on all levels from around the world.

Minimum requirements:

  • MBO+ (technical background preferred);
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and general HSE legislation;
  • Fluent command of the English language, both verbal and written;
  • Experience with MS office;
  • Driver’s License B.

  • Clear communication skills and open minded to other cultures;
  • Excellent reporting skills, attention to detail is critical in the work that we do;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with pragmatic approach;
  • A positive learning attitude, to be able to work with unfamiliar topics and understanding (international) standards and legislation;
  • Willingness to occasional travel is preferred.
