Last week the Peterson Vessel Performance Centre (VPC) has successfully completed the shipboard sampling for Vessel General Permit (VGP) compliance in 4 new locations: Port of Gibraltar (United Kingdom), Port of Santos (Brazil), Ports of Ust-Luga / St. Petersburg (Russia), and Port of Durban (South Africa) are now onboard also.

Peterson Pest Control performs (preventive) control of the BMSB by means of Heat Treatment. The treatment against BMSB takes place by placing goods of all types and sizes in our dedicated HT chamber and ensuring that the goods are 56 degrees (core temperature) for at least 30mn. Not any live stage of the BMSB can survive these temperatures.

CUII USA, LLC has joined the Dutch offices of Control Union Industrial Inspections (CUII) and recently became a proud approved Container Certification Firm by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Now the USA offices are also approved to perform 2.5 and 5 yearly inspections on behalf of ABS in the USA, on offshore and intermodal IMO tank containers as required by the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) code.

The Dales Voe decommissioning facility in Shetland is one step closer to becoming a centre of excellence for recycling offshore structures from the North Sea with the arrival of two new installations for decommissioning by strategic partners Veolia and Peterson. The structures from Spirit Energy’s ST-1 arrived in the dedicated port facility on 15 July.
