What we are looking for

We are growing!! We are on a quest to find our next Project Manager. Core29 are forward thinking transformers of business and we are on the hunt for a project manager to join our team.

The Role

Accomplishes project or programme objectives by planning project activities, evaluating implementation and managing the progress of project(s) undertaken. 

The role of Project Manager within Core29 must ensure high quality documented output, a business focussed delivery, and strict management of time, budget and risk factors.  The Project Manager role will be required to ensure the Quality delivery of his/her projects in line with the Core29 framework as well as directly delivering or supporting client projects.  Although the role is functionally aligned to programme delivery this role will also include involvement in diligence or strategy work.

Typically, Core29 will scope requirements, meet key players, identify improvements, and oversee project or programme management from beginning to end. We ensure the client has ownership of the solution once implemented and always remain independent and transparent throughout delivery.

Project Activities

  • Establishing a management structure for each project which is relevant and appropriate to the client and type of work, whilst ensuring involvement of key project stakeholders
  • Ensuring each project has a clear scope, set objectives and desired outcomes
  • Estimating project costs; managing: budget, scope and change
  • Ensuring that project work is carried out in accordance with Core29 methodologies
  • Forecasting impact of demand on both project resources and business stakeholders
  • Managing assigned resources within the scope of the project, ensuring visibility over the progress of deliverables in a collaborative though controlled manner
  • Identifying, prioritising and mitigating project risks and issues, including appropriate escalations and communication
  • Managing or working within procurement and contract processes when applicable
  • Carry out regular and well-prepared project reporting
  • Tracking and monitoring project progress
  • Ensuring that project deliverables meet business requirement


  • Ability and preference to communicate using business language over technical
  • Ability to develop robust business cases and influence and steer stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to determine, track and forecast costs against a project’s budget
  • Ability and tenacity to formally close a project and assist with benefits realisation
  • Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills
  • Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong presentation skills, both material preparation and delivery

Beneficial to have experience of the following:

  • Software project management
  • Software testing
  • Some interaction with software development teams
  • Exposure to first line support
  • Desire to keep up to date with latest technologies
  • Leading or working as part of an ERP implementation team
  • Leading or working as part of global project team

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Application Project Implementation
  • Recognised Project Management Qualification (PRINCE II, PMP, AMP) – Desired but not essential
  • Familiar with various project delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall.
  • Understanding the principles of working with project management tools. E.G. MS Project
