Graphic Designer    

Job function/Scope:

• Working as part of the communications team, the Graphic Designer will provide Peterson and portfolio businesses with graphic design support across a wide range of activities as required

• The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of the Peterson brand and visual identity and must demonstrate creativity and vision

• Responsible for creating innovative corporate design solutions that have a high visual impact

• Plan and organise design projects from initial concept to finished solution ensuring deadlines are met

• Work to agreed project briefs to develop the Peterson brand through print materials, digital resources and all other relevant media, ensuring materials are correctly targeted, on brand and meet the needs of the company

• Support business development activity with a wide range of marketing materials, presentations, animations or other relevant media

• Create and develop infographics and diagrams to help communicate technical systems and processes for client presentations and proposals

• Advise the business on the best media and design solutions for a particular message or project

• Create graphics to support social media activity

• Produce and edit video content for the business on an ad-hoc basis

Job Location:

Aberdeen/hybrid working

Roles & responsibilities:

• Support the development of the Peterson visual identity

• Lead on specific design projects from conception to delivery

• Ensure that print and other media is produced to a high standard and Peterson visual identity guidelines are adhered to at all times

• Deliver effective design solutions to support communications activities

• Any other responsibilities which may arise and are within the post holder’s capabilities

• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools

Qualifications and experience

• Degree or HND qualified in graphic design or equivalent discipline preferred

• Minimum two years’ experience of graphic design experience from either in-house or agency environment

• Ability to manage design projects from initial concept to completion
