A vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Lead at our Greenhead Base facility to support with the coordination and control of operations. Duties will include job planning, assigning recourses, controlling operational activity and leading work teams onsite.


The post holder will be required to actively engage with management and the operational team to ensure service and team targets are met in accordance with customer and company requirements.  The successful candidate will have to effectively communicate plans and toolbox talks, ensure that safe working practices are adhered to and engage with the relevant authorities when required.  The post holder will also be required to control project costs, provide information for invoicing and support the wider team with building quotations and tendering packages when required. The post holder will be required to join the on-call rota as a primary focal point for clients out of hours.


To be considered for this position, candidates should ideally have a background in quayside operations and logistics with previous experience in supervising a team and an awareness of legislative requirements / regulations pertaining to lifting / cargo / haulage operations. The ability to prioritise competing demands is essential as is excellent communications skills, leadership and decision making. IOSH managing safety is preferable as is Cat B driving license. Opito slinger / banksman (or equivalent) is desirable.
