Crewing CoordinatorA vacancy has arisen for a Crewing Coordinator, to be based at our Georgetown office on a contracted basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of customs, immigration, and project logistics activities of the Peterson business. Main function is to ensure the hassle free and efficient clearance of all incoming and outgoing persons travelling in and out of Guyana and arranging transport and accommodations.
The role requires close team cooperation with various coordinators, vendors, clients and regulatory bodies for this department and a very high focus is required on the efficient and safe delivery of crewing services.
Compliance to all safety policies and procedures and ensuring that the delivery of service is in accordance with Peterson company requirements is a major requirement.
Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail are required to ensure that department support is prioritized according to departmental requirements and deliverables to be achieved in accordance with outlined timelines. You will be required support the Customs and Agency Authority with day-to-day tasks.
Applicants must have a minimum five (5) CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English, with at least two (2) years’ working experience in shipping and/or customs brokerage sector. A Diploma in Supply Chain or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management will be considered an asset. Proficient in the use of MS Office as well as high focus on customer service and service delivery.
Successful candidate must be able to cope in a dynamic environment, whilst working with multiple issues at the same time, and an ability to deal with setbacks
