Control Union Australia merges with Commodity Inspection Services Australia

We are pleased to announce that Control Union Australia, part of Royal Peterson and Control Union, has formally merged with Commodity Inspection Services Australia (CIS).
For nearly three decades, CIS as a fully accredited superintendence company has been a leading provider of specialised commodity inspection services that works with an extensive range of commodities and consumer products for exporters and importers requiring independent laboratory testing, inspection and shipping certification services. Supporting its inspection services CIS has a purpose built agri-commodity testing laboratory that is FOSFA, GAFTA and NATA accredited to ISO 17025.

Dirk Teichert, Board Member at Royal Peterson and Control Union, said: “This merger marks an exciting time for us and the industry, as we continue to diversify, strengthen, and grow our offering to our valued customers in Australia.

“CIS has a well-earned reputation for providing the highest quality independent inspection services and laboratory analysis to the agricultural industry in Australia, with a philosophy of upholding integrity, honesty and respect. We are delighted that they have now joined forces with Control Union Australia.”

Mathew Conoulty, Managing Director of CIS added: “The merger opens up some exciting opportunities for CIS and Control Union Australia. When combining our services we greatly expand what we can offer to markets in our region”.

From April 1, 2022, the two parties will operate under the new name of CIS Control Union Australia Pty Limited.
